Remote Assistance is a technology that allows support personnel to view the Windows Vista session of the person they are assisting. The person providing the assistance is often called the helper. The person who sends the invitation requesting assistance is often called the host. Remote Assistance greatly eases the desktop support process because it reduces the need for nontechnical users to accurately describe technical processes to support personnel.
